Chamber president Vera Bergkamp believes that the departure of the entire senior civil service of the House of Representatives shows that it is important that an investigation into social safety under her predecessor Khadija Arib continues. “I think we should take seriously that these people have not felt safe,” she says.
Bergkamp, who does not intend to resign himself, would have liked to keep the investigation into Arib out of politics. But that didn’t work. She now wants the House to speak out in favor of continuing it. Last week, some groups have asked for the investigation to be stopped.
