Benjamin Clementine is coming to Germany on tour with his record AND I HAVE BEEN in autumn 2023. The British musician and songwriter will play shows in Hamburg, Berlin and Frankfurt.
The single releases from AND I HAVE BEEN
The Brit’s third LP was released on Friday (October 28). “Copening”, “Weakend”, “Genesis” and “Delighted” were previously released as singles. The musician shared the background to the songs on Twitter.
He captioned Genesis, “A play about constant denial of my roots. Whatever we do in this new world, our so-called old world remains buried deep in our subconscious. Trapped in freedom.”

The Brit on “Delighted”: “All the time we try to learn. We learn from trying, after that we earn respect. Our arrogance becomes the culprit for our complacency. And as soon as we turn away from what we have so carefully gathered, we burn up all our passion, patience and practice. Luckily we are human, so we can always start over, which is something to be happy about.”
