Benedict Cumberbatch wants to accommodate Ukrainian refugees in his home

British actor Benedict Cumberbatch showed his support for the victims of the Ukrainian war at the Bafta gala.

The awards for the British film and television industry were handed out on Sunday night in London. From the Sherlock series and AvengersCumberbatch, familiar from the films, arrived at the gala with a pin in the color of the Ukrainian flag on his jacket.

Although it was a celebration, Cumberbatch admitted that the world situation darkened the atmosphere of the gala. He wants to provide concrete support to people fleeing the war.

– We all have to do more than use a pin. We need to make donations, put pressure on politicians and provide shelters for the people who are suffering. I know it’s already being done, but everyone has to do as much as possible, the actor said To Sky News gala.

– Today seems to be the news that a record number of people have offered to take people to live with them, and I hope I can take part in it myself. I also want to make donations to organizations that genuinely help people either in Poland or at the border.
