No.not just catwalks, not just red carpets and glossy covers. For Bella Hadid there’s more. Away from the glamorous world, the model is dedicated to volunteering. It was she herself who shared some posts about Instagram in which it appears committed to helping New York’s needy. With a very specific purpose: to raise awareness.
Bella Hadid and help to the needy
“A few weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and ordered a bunch of jackets / coats on my phone. I was taking a walk the night before, cold, thinking of the 50,000 people, 15,000 children, in New York alone, probably three times chilled than me and who didn’t have the same luxury of going home to a warm place ».
It all started like this. Bella Hadid puts it in black and white next to a series of images in which she appears to be engaged in her charity work.
Distributing coats on the streets
So, after that night, the model decides to roll up her sleeves and take action. “I called One Warm Coat and Bowery Mission and asked if we could collaborate to donate coats and launch a collection of donations” he wrote. No sooner said than done.
On Instagram, the model first appears intent on arranging jackets and coats in the warehouses and then distributing them to the needy on the streets of the city. One Warm Coat, in fact, is a national non-profit organization that provides free coats to children and adults in need, while promoting environmental sustainability.
Anyone can help by donating clean coats in good condition that will be distributed to those in need thanks to a coat drive map. «A simple and immediate way to help» urges Bella Hadid. Adding: “I hope this campaign brings thousands of coats into the hands of New Yorkers in the next two weeks.”
The meal for the homeless
The fashion star also shared another post in which she appears committed to help Bowery Mission, a charity serving the homeless and needy in New York. The model shared the photos in which she shows herself busy preparing bags with food to distribute to the guests and then while chatting and hugging the other volunteers.
I wish I could do more
“I feel helpless most of the time just walking out of my apartment, because I can’t understand why some people are given certain chances in life»Wrote the model again on social media.
This is a reflection that probably led her to embrace charitable initiatives. “No one deserves to feel the harshness of New York winters, with nothing to wear and nowhere to go. I wish I could do more” he added.
Grateful to see the good in the world
