Belgian soldier (35) flees from Italian police in his underpants | News

A 35-year-old Belgian soldier got himself into trouble in Italy. According to local media, the man was arrested for stalking a Russian student (20). When the police wanted to arrest him, the Belgian tried to escape through a window, wearing only his underwear.

The Belgian was arrested in Milan on Monday evening, according to ‘Milano Today’ and ‘Il Giorno’. The police were alerted by a 20-year-old Russian student. He is said to have had a relationship with the Belgian soldier in September. The student called the police on Monday because, according to her, the Belgian threw stones at her window after she refused to let him in. When officers arrived on the scene, the man was gone.

Death threat

The woman showed the officers a photo of a bayonet that the Belgian had sent her. “If I see you with him again, I will kill him,” was the text, referring to the young lady’s new boyfriend.

The 20-year-old Russian was able to tell the officers in which B&B the Belgian soldier was staying. When the officers knocked on the Belgian’s room, he did not open the door.

Escape attempt

A little later it turned out that the Belgian (35) had crawled out of the window of the accommodation at a height of approximately 10 meters. Wearing only underwear, he began a dangerous escape attempt. According to the police, there was a high risk that the man, in his bare feet, would slip and fall to his death. The police eventually managed to convince him to return to his room. He was arrested there.
