Last year, Belgian Red Cross-Flanders (RKV) operated 22 reception centres. There it provided shelter to Ukrainian refugees or applicants for international protection. In total, this concerns almost 25,000 people, although that figure is particularly high because RKV also operates the transit center in Brussels, where people only stay for one or two nights before moving on.
