Belgian passengers stranded on Zanzibar for days due to “terror threat”: flight finally left this morning

About fourteen passengers, including Belgians, were detained this weekend on the island of Zanzibar, in the East African country of Tanzania. The flight from the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam to Schiphol, which should have taken place on Friday, was canceled due to a terrorist threat in the city. In the meantime, the problem has been solved, reports TUI spokeswoman Sarah Saucin. The stranded passengers were finally able to safely leave for home this morning, she says.
