The girls of national coach Rachid Meziane never got into trouble in their second game in group B. Via 9-0 it went to 20-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Cats dominated and consolidated to 39-26 at the break. After the break, the Belgian women pressed the accelerator again. An intermediate sprint later it was 64-33. The fourth quarter was only for the statistics. Final score: 84-41.

Emma Meesseman (24 pts and 11 rebounds), Julie Vanloo (13 pts) and Julie Allemand (12 pts and 11 assists) were the stars in Belgium.

Group profit beckons

On Thursday-evening, the Cats won their opener at the European Championship against hosts Israel by a resounding 108-59 score. On Sunday evening (at 5.15 pm) they will take on Italy in their last group match. The Czech women had surprisingly taken the measure of Italy in their first game on Thursday (61-58).
