Belgian Cat Emma Meesseman leaves Russia
Emma Meesseman is active in the Russian basketball league and plays for the club Yekaterinburg. But because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, she doesn’t feel like staying in Russia anymore. She returns home by plane via a major detour.
Top club Yekaterinburg is the winner of the EuroLeague, but the International Basketball Federation FIBA temporarily suspends all Russian clubs.
Julie Vanloo had previously announced that she will play her last game for Krasnoyarsk today. She will return home tomorrow. It is not yet known what the two other Belgian Cats will do in Russia Kyara Linskens and Hind Ben Abdelkader.
