musicOnly few news for the fans from Front 242. The Belgian band will have two upcoming concerts, after which Jean-Luc De Meyer (65) in the Ziekenhuis will be canceled. That’s what the group says on Facebook.
“Met veel spijt en droefheid moeten we want dat Front 242 de ankomende concerten op 1 en 2 april 2022 in De Kreun in Kortrijk moet uitstellen”, clicks on Facebook. “Onze zanger, Jean-Luc De Meyer, will de afgelopen Nacht opgenomen in het ziekenhuis. Zijn gezondheid is zorgwekkend. We zijn ons ervan bewust dat our fans uitkeken naar dit concert. We zijn allermaal teleurgesteld. Laten we Jean-Luc in ons hart houden.”
Front 242 is a van de meest toonaangevende Belgian bands that have been successful. The group started in the 80s and was considered to be the mainstay of the Electronic Body Music (EBM) genre. The biggest hit is probably ‘Headhunter’. The accompanying video clip is directed by Anton Corbijn. The number ‘Rhythm of Time’ was heard in the film ‘Single White Female’, with Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
