In the podcast episode “Encore 4 – The unedited interviews” from October 10th of the Die-Ärzte podcast “This one love – 40 years of the doctors”, reporter Marco Seiffert talks to Bela B about “the man with the widest grin in the world”, Farin Urlaub. When asked what Bela finds most annoying about Farin, Bela B replies: “What’s annoying is that he’s sometimes so incredibly punctual that he usually comes early.”
The basic idea of the podcast
As part of the podcast “Diese Eine Liebe – 40 Jahre Die Ärzte”, which was created on the occasion of Die Ärzte’s Berlin tour, Marco Seiffert, ARD reporter and radioeins presenter, attended all concerts of the “Berlin Tour” in spring and summer 2022 MMXXII”. A podcast series with insights behind the scenes, personal impressions and interviews with guests and the “best band in the world” was published for every concert attended.
Due to the high demand for the 13 podcast episodes, the seven best interviews that Seiffert conducted with Die Ärzte will also be published between September 29th and October 20th. The so-called “encores” appear every Thursday and Monday on all popular streaming platforms.
That’s what Farin Urlaub says about his role within the band
In an interview for the October 10th podcast episode, Farin Urlaub says: “I’m definitely the hard one.” He further explains: “It took me a long time to allow other opinions on my songs.” He rejects the attribution as a perfectionist however – in this role he sees more bandmate Rod.
