Pink tax, how hard it is to be a woman

Is called “Pink tax” or pink tax and it is a tax invisible to the eye, but which knows the wallet well, and which consists in increasing a price for all those products intended for the female public.

Example: the razor blades for the hair removal of the legs. Although they are identical to the razors offered to men to shave their beards, as they are pink and have a more elegant packaging, they cost at least 20% more.

Hidden tax on products dedicated to women

Going into the business of articles dedicated to beauty and personal well-being you can indulge yourself: here the price difference increases further. A shampoo, with the same ingredients, but with a different package, costs on average 48% more than the same product intended for the male world.

Pink Tax, a worldwide nonsense

The same thing applies to toys: according to one American study on the pink tax, a pink bicycle as a child costs at least one fifth more than the same blue or red tricycle, more chosen, according to marketing studies, by males. And the same goes for moped helmets, backpacks and computers.

An absurdity, definitely, which on a world level, however, has an average value of around + 7%. As if to say, therefore, that being a woman costs on average 7% more than being a man.
