The military tension Come in China Y Taiwan continues to grow. This morning, a Chinese Army destroyer ship was stationed about 80 kilometers off the coast of Lanyu Island, located southeast of Taiwan, according to the island’s CNA news agency.
Military sources cited by the agency have assured that, in addition, other destroyers, intelligence ships and missile frigates of the People’s Liberation Army (Chinese Army) were sighted “in the last two days” in the waters near the aforementioned lanyu island and 88 kilometers from the city of Hualien, on the east coast of Taiwan.
The Chinese destroyer detected this morning in Lanyu, also known as “Orchid Island” and located 64 kilometers from Taiwan, has a surveillance radius of 380 kilometers at sea level and up to 560 kilometers if you monitor the airspace around it, according to defense experts cited by CNA.
The island’s Ministry of Defense explained that it has used “joint methods of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to register and control the possible movements of the enemy”.
