RThe program begins for those who love traveling and discovering new cultures. Tonight at 9.25pm on Sky Uno and streaming on NOW the first episode of Beijing Express 2024. Eight couples are competing, ready to compete against each other along what has been renamed Dragon’s Route. A 10 episode long journey among rice fields, places full of spirituality, breathtaking views and testimonies of ancient civilisations.
Beijing Express 2024first episode in Vietnam
Competitors will cross Vietnam, Laos and Sri Lanka. Entering in contact with different cultures and distant places, through continuous challenges pursuing the goal: to arrive first. A prize pool is up for grabs which will be donated to support an NGO that operates in one of the countries visited during the various stages of the program.
The territory concerned is South Asia. We start from the Far East between Northern Vietnam and Laos. In the first episode the couples find themselves among the rice fields of Vietnam and places that bear witness to the culture and history of the country. In the second phase of Beijing Express 2024 we move towards Laos and therefore into contact with uncontaminated nature and cities that release spirituality. The final part of the trip is in Sri Lanka, where viewers will also be able to discover the pristine rainforest, the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean and the sacred temples.
In total, over 5,000 kilometers that travelers must cover if they want to reach the coveted goal. That is, the victory after being able to reach, stage after stage, the characteristic red flag of the program.
1 euro a day and a lot of resourcefulness
The format therefore sees no upheavals each competitor has a backpack with minimal equipment to face the adventure and 1 euro per day in local currency. With this amount each couple must ensure that they pass the tests and survive.
Which is why a great spirit of adaptation is necessary, but also resourcefulness, willpower and reactive ability. As always they ask for hospitality from the local populationas they try to achieve passages by car or makeshift vehicles to overcome the tests stage after stage.

Costantino della Gherardesca and Fru
The now veteran Costantino della Gherardesca returns to the management, in its tenth edition (the first was conducted by Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia in 2012). With his irony and sagacity, he introduces the places that travelers are preparing to explore, as well as the trials. It accompanies the viewer episode after episode and helps them immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the place by telling anecdotes, curiosities and notions of history.
As already happened in the past with Enzo Miccio, he is joined by Gianluca Colucci aka Fru of The Jackal. For him Beijing Express 2024 represents a return. In 2022, in fact, he participated as a couple with Aurora Leone. They were the Jackals and came third after the winners Victoria Cabello and Paride Vitali and the runners-up Natasha Stefanenko and her daughter Sasha Sabbioni.
Last September he made his hosting debut – again with Leone – of Italy’s Got Talent 2023available for streaming on Disney+ and currently broadcast on Wednesday evenings on TV8.

The cast is made up of: The Caressas Fabio and Eleonora Caressa; The Pastry Chefs Damiano and Massimiliano Carrara; The Fratm Artem and Antonio Orefice; The Romagnoli Paolo Cevoli and Elisabetta Garuffi; The Brilliants Nancy Brilli and Pierluigi Iorio; The Giants Kristin Ghedina and Francesca Piccinini; The friends Maddalena Corvaglia and Barbara Petrillo; Italy Argentina Estefania Bernal and Antonella Fiordelisi.
For both Caressas Beijing Express 2024 represents a debut in television entertainment. Eleonora is very young, she is 19 years old and attends university, she loves astrology, cooking, but she doesn’t know how to cook and doesn’t like sports. Fabio Caressainstead, he made sport the main ingredient of his profession. He is one of the commentators most loved by the Italian public. Working for Sky since 2003, he has covered the most important football events of the last twenty years.

Damiano Carrara gets involved with his brother Massimiliano, with whom he embarked on the American experience which led them to open a pastry shop in Los Angeles. For Damiano, first Stars and Stripes TV arrived, then Italian. He returned to his homeland as a judge of Bake Off Italy on Real Time, where he also hosts Cake Star together with Katia Follesa. Massimiliano lives in Los Angeles where he manages three pastry shops.

Fratm Artem and Antonio Orefice arrive from the Rai 2 cult series Sea outside. Artem plays Pino, while Orefice was Antonio Ascione, known as Totò, present in the first two seasons. He is also in the cast of the musical of the same name directed by Alessandro Siani. Paolo Cevoli dei Romagnoli is one of the historical comedians of Zelig and in 2022 he participated in LOL – Whoever laughs is out. His wife Elisabetta Garuffi runs a wedding dress atelier in Bologna.
Nancy Brilli of Brillanti is busy on Rai 2 with BellaMa’ and boasts a thirty-year film and television career. In 1990 he won the David di Donatello and the Nastro d’argento with the film Small misunderstandings. Travel companion Pierluigi Iorio is a Neapolitan actor and director. They have been friends for five years.
For the sports quota there are the skier Kristin Ghedina and the volleyball player Francesca Piccinini, both two legends of Italian sport. Still, her friends Maddalena Corvaglia and Barbara Petrillo. Corvaglia was one of the most loved showgirls ever paired with Elisabetta Canalis. She returns to television after the experience a Naked for lifebroadcast on Rai 2. Barbara Petrillo has participated in various programs, including Those who… football And Gialappashow. He has two daughters, Margherita and Ludovica, with former footballer Fabiano Santacroce.
