This time travelers have to travel 341 kilometers. This is the shortest stage among those faced so far. Once gathered in Awat Awatthey are informed of the first mission to face. Each couple receives a photo of a villager. When he finds the person depicted, receives a sack containing smoked fish. Whoever brings it to Tenom Lama’s village first wins.
The second mission starts from Tenom Lama. Here the competitors must reach the flag of Beijing Express aboard a trolley that is transported on tracks. Easier said, easier done, because the journey includes two stops. In each of them they must stop at the local station and collect some food. The loot consists of one watermelon, four onions, five coconuts and twelve eggs.
Once this part is completed, they get off the cart to walk towards the Fat Choy coffee plantation. Here they hand over everything and if they have carried out the task correctly they are free to continue their adventure towards the Red Book. Anyone who makes a mistake, forgetting or losing some food, receives a penalty. Before he can leave again he has to wait ten minutes.

The Advantage Test and the treasure hunt
The seventh episode of Beijing Express 2023 ends with the third missionor the last tranche before finding out which couple will continue the game and which, instead, will have to abandon the program and return to Italy. The test consists of going to the Kota Kinabalu fish market to find the treasure map.
There are four pieces that compose it and they are cleverly hidden under the fish displayed on the market stalls. Once found and put together, they discover where the treasure is. So they leave for the beach. To reach it, they have to rush to Anjun Gayang port and get on a boat. When they arrive at the beach, they must go in search of the treasure, which is hidden under one of the seven crosses. Only then can they go to the finish line of the stage.
Regarding the usual prove advantage, the first three couples to qualify in the first mission face each other in two challenges. In the first they try their hand at using a blowgun with which they must hit the target. Each pair only has 15 ammo available. The second challenge, however, tests the artistic skills of the competitors. They have to try their hand at bamboo dance and be careful to dodge some sticks, so you can receive five more ammo. The first two pairs to hit the target go through.
To decide who wins, each couple climbs onto a lanzaran to retrieve a flag. After that you move inside the village of Awat Awat to find a girl. The photo, however, is only shown to one of the two members of the couple, who must therefore describe it in the best possible way to his travel companion. The winning couple gains a position in the rankings. Regarding the penalty, he can assign to one of the opposing pairs a penalty corresponding to three breaks of five minutes each.
