A fire on the rear axle brakes the waking truck of the German biathlon team on the way to the last World Cup station in Oslo. But the German Ski Association is lucky in misfortune.

Ferred moment for the German biathlon team: On the way to the season finale to Oslo, the waking line burned on the rear axle. “Thanks to the quick reaction of our drivers, the fire could be deleted, but the night was long,” wrote the German Ski Association (DSV) on Instagram.

A workshop “screwed” on the car for a whole night to make it again, said sports director Felix Bitterling. On Tuesday afternoon, the truck was able to continue his journey for the ski technicians.

At the last World Cup station of this season, world champion Franziska Preuss has a big showdown in the fight for the yellow jersey. In front of the final three races on the legendary Holmenkollen, the 31-year-old has 20 points ahead of her French rival Lou JeanMonnot in the overall World Cup. In Oslo there is a sprint, persecution and a mass start.
