The German soccer women have to cope with the next failure in the international match against France. Giulia Gwinn suffered a knee injury in training and will miss the DFB selection in the new edition of the European Championship semifinals on Friday (October 7th, 2022) in Dresden.
The 23-year-old defender from runners-up FC Bayern has already left the team quarters and will undergo further examinations in Munich, the German Football Association announced.
Sara Däbritz, Lina Magull and Laura Freigang had previously had to cancel the first home appearance of the German soccer team after the European Championship due to injury. So far, 24,000 tickets have been sold for the game.
