Beernem joins the Uitpas system

The Uitpas promotes culture and sports and gives people in poverty a discount on all kinds of leisure activities. “Whoever participates in this system can save points and then exchange them for benefits. In addition, people in poverty are entitled to an opportunity rate at the checkout. In the meantime, more than 285,000 children and adults enjoy Uitpas benefits at more than 3,000 leisure organizations in Flanders and Brussels,” says Lode Vanneste of N-VA Beernem.

On March 24, 2021, the city of Bruges launched a proposal for the introduction of an Uitpas within the mayoral consultation of the Bruges region. Beernem, Blankenberge, Damme, Knokke-Heist, Oostkamp, ​​Torhout and Zuienkerke agreed to participate in a regional UiTPAS and to share the wage costs of a regional Uitpas coordinator.
