Beer bottles Wieze and Kwaremont recalled: “Small chance of glass flakes”

“Minimal Chance”

For both Wieze and Kwaremont it concerns bottles of 75 centilitres with best before date 22-12-2023 and lot code 1356A. This is reported by the Food Agency (FAVV) and the brewery on the website

There is probably an “invisible quality problem” in the bottles supplied, which means “the slightest chance of glass chips coming off the top of the bottle and entering the beer”.

“Small lot of gift packaging”

According to the brewery, this concerns a small lot of gift packaging. “It seems that there is a problem with the supplier of the bottles,” says the brewery. “Intensive testing will continue in the coming weeks, but as a precaution, some bottles are now being recalled.”

Those who bought bottles with the stated code can return them to the store of purchase. The receipt is not necessary. If you want more information, you can call 056/65.04.62 or send an email to [email protected].
