The Ukrainian Kruglak selflessly bought 10 dogs from Ukraine at the end of March, because a colleague breeder near Kiev was no longer able to care for the animals. Back in the Netherlands, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) got wind of the matter, after which inspectors placed the rottweilers – eight puppies and two bitches – in compulsory detention at the end of April.
