Because of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome: Justin Bieber cancels world tour

Justin Bieber announced in June that he has rare Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a neurological condition that causes facial paralysis. Now the singer has announced that he has to cancel his world tour for health reasons.

Originally, 70 concerts were planned for the “Justice World Tour”. Bieber had to cancel the tour once, but then announced the continuation in July. Now the remaining concerts are supposed to be cancelled. On September 7th, he wrote in an Instagram post:

“Earlier this year I publicly reported on my battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which has left me partially paralyzed in the face. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe to continue the tour. I played six live shows but it took a lot out of me. Last weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people of Brazil. After I got off the stage, exhaustion hit me and I realized that I have to prioritize my health now. So I’ll be taking a break from touring for now.”

The comments below the post are full of heart emojis and kind messages. Both his colleagues and his fans wish the singer a lot of strength and all the best in the fight with his illness.

The tour was to celebrate his sixth studio album JUSTICE (2021). Most recently, his new single “Beautiful Love (Free Fire)” was released on August 30th. He hasn’t indicated how long Bieber’s hiatus might be. It is also unclear when and if he will catch up on his tour.
