Hansi Flick has been turning a lot of things around at FC Barcelona since he took office in the summer. The catering of the professionals is also apparently being put to the test. According to a report in the newspaper Sport, which is generally considered to be well-informed when it comes to Barça, the coach has asked the club to hire a professional chef.
The background is said to have been, among other things, a complaint from Robert Lewandowski about the food while traveling. The Polish top striker, who was already considered extremely meticulous when it came to his diet during his time at FC Bayern Munich, is said to have disapproved of how essential foods such as eggs were prepared for players.
Flick then took up the matter and asked the club to hire a qualified chef. There have already been discussions with renowned chefs in this regard.
Sports director Deco and nutritionist Sílvia Tremoleda are also said to have been involved in the process. The 51-year-old was brought back to Barça by President Joan Laporta three years ago after Pep Guardiola convinced her to move to Manchester City in 2017.
