Actually, the Berlin group Seeed was supposed to play a concert at Seaside Beach in Essen on August 26th. The band had to cancel the concert due to illness. Another performance is planned for Saturday (27 August). Whether this can take place is still in the stars.
Seeed announced the sad news on Instagram on Thursday. A band member suddenly fell ill: “We are very sad that we cannot play our live show tomorrow, August 26th, 2022 in Essen. With one leg on the band bus, we were surprised by the news and caught off guard,” the group said. The performance had to be postponed twice due to the pandemic – now unfortunately another time.
Will the next open-air concert take place on August 27th?
The second Seeed concert was also to take place at Essen’s Baldeney See. However, it is still unclear whether the show can be implemented as planned. Since the show is completely sold out, fans cannot return their tickets to the organizer. So if it doesn’t take place, Seeed will try to find catch-up dates, the band continues on Instagram: “We don’t give up hope ourselves that we can still arrive for the second show on Saturday, August 27th!! If neither of these work out, we will of course try to catch up on the concerts and come to Essen to celebrate two unforgettable evenings with you there – one way or another!“, they wrote.
The fans are disappointed
The reactions of the fans move somewhere between sadness and understanding. Many Instagram users commented on Seeed’s post with sad and crying emojis. One woman wrote: “These cards are just cursed. Get well soon, unfortunately there’s nothing you can do about it.” Another commented: “It’s not meant to be. Took vacation, booked a hotel and of course couldn’t cancel at such short notice. Get well soon”.
Previously, Seeed gave five consecutive concerts at Wuhlheide in Berlin from August 9th to 14th – these too were all sold out. Three more shows are planned for the near future. Here are the dates:
