Beau van Erven Dorens received a pretty nasty sneer from his studio guest Tom van ‘t Einde yesterday in his talk show. He is not exactly impressed with his host…
The celebrity of the day who comes to promote a new TV program in the talk show van Beau van Erven Dorens was his TV colleague Marieke Elsinga last night. The two have worked together in the past, but both have experience presenting the successful early evening section RTL Boulevard.
Chatting a bit
Marieke has said goodbye to that program because it is difficult to combine it with Qmusic and she is now quite sensitive to work pressure. “I do miss it, because I liked it so much. Yes, of course you also did RTL Boulevard for years. Don’t you miss that too? Isn’t that the best program to do?”
Obliged to listen to the empty squabbles of Nikkie Plessen; Tastes differ. Anyway, does Beau miss it too? “Yes absolutely. Especially the working hours. You just come in and then you just chat a little bit, then you say, ‘La-la-la-la-la’, and then you walk out.”
Marieke: “It really is. That’s it really.”
False sneer
You just come in and you’re just going to have a little chat? Studio guest Tom van ‘t Eind does not understand why Beau necessarily associates this with RTL Boulevard. “Yes, but you don’t actually do that much more here, do you?” he sneered, to the hilarity of the people in the studio.
Beau can laugh about it himself. “Hahahaha”, it sounds.
Tom: “I mean, we bring the content here.”
‘Luuk doesn’t do anything!’
Beau’s statement that Boulevard is mainly a bit of chatting in space is of course a bit painful for the current team. He quickly adds: “Now things are going completely wrong, because now everyone is saying: ‘Luuk Ikink is doing nothing!’ No, I actually did very little, because all I had to do was present the case.”
“It’s just reading the autocue and making some sharp remarks,” he explains. “That is something different from Luuk, who is working hard on it.”
Near-burnout
Has Marieke now completed her first media appearance without looking back at her near-burnout? And how does she plan everything to prevent that these days? Ah, no. That was also touched upon.
“Yes, I was done with it for a while. Fortunately, the sense of work has returned completely. I am happy with that. But that was about this time a year ago. I just really enjoy working, but at one point I felt like saying ‘yes’ to almost everything. But that broke me a bit at one point. But I didn’t find that easy!”
