Beau van Erven Dorens was hypnotized on live television last night by Rasti Rostelli. He was then unable to lift the hypnotist, who weighs only 70 kilos. “How is this possible?!”
Rasti Rostelli has been pulled out of the mothballs. He is traveling again with his variety circus through the country and he was allowed to promote it yesterday in Beau van Erven Dorens’ talk show. At the end of the broadcast, the presenter himself was also briefly put under hypnosis.
“Lift me up!”
Rasti’s proposal to hypnotize Beau seems spontaneous. “Beau, it’s nice to see what’s happening, but I also want to do something with you.”
Beau: “If we keep it short, because the RTL News is waiting.”
Rasti: “Yes, yes, yes, good excuse.”
Beau: “What should I do?”
Rasti: “I weigh 70 kilos. lift me up.”

Beau does it twice. Rasti: “You lifted me up twice. If someone asked you if you could do it a third time, what would your answer be?
When Beau answers in the affirmative, Rasti says again: “What you can do twice, you can also do three times? Not everything.”
Then Rasti starts his hypnosis: “I weigh 100 kilos, Beau. 200 kilos. 300 kilos. 500 kilograms. 1,000 kilograms. I’m nailed to the podium. No matter what you do, the more power you use to add me up, the heavier I’m going to get.”
“I know what you may be thinking now: let him talk all he wants, I’ll lift him up in a minute, but for the first time you will notice that there is more between heaven and earth. 1,000 kilograms. I’m leaden. Lift.”
‘It does not work!’
Beau then tries a third time, unsuccessfully. “Well, it really isn’t. Yes, it really doesn’t work.”
Rasti then: “Without effort you are able to lift me again. You can do it again. Lift!”
Beau does it effortlessly. “Well, it’s unbelievable. I presented Uri Geller for a long time, I know what fake is: I really couldn’t lift it.”
