Beau van Erven Dorens is deep in the ratings shadow of Today Inside. His program Beau currently only scores poorly on RTL 4. How does he see it himself?
It is a bitter pill for the late talk show of RTL 4. For a moment it seemed that the biggest competitor on the later evening, Today Inside, would disappear from the tube – Eva Jinek even danced on their grave, according to Johan Derksen – but nothing is less true. VI is back on TV and Eva’s successor Beau van Erven Dorens is now also sinking considerably.
Beau responds
Where Today Inside yesterday with 910 thousand viewers (20% market share) was by far the most watched talk show of the evening, Beau does not even take a place in the top 15 viewership. His meager viewership of 538 thousand (15%) falls pretty short. Even ratings flop Khalid & Sophie managed to charm more viewers.
Will Beau’s ratings still be okay? The presenter answers himself in the AD: “You never know. But I think we make a really nice program. Optimistic, cheerful. We sit on the news of the day and make entertainment. But I can’t deny that things have gone better with the viewing figures.”
More competition
What does Beau think it’s because of? “Maybe we’ve been spoiled with the ratings for the last two years. There is more competition, and perhaps less news, but we continue to put on a happy show.”
Will his celebrity slime show Lago di Beau also return? Yes, after Beau he goes straight to Italy for the recordings of Isola di Beau. “Last year I invited interesting people to Lake Como for Lagio di Beau. Now I do that in Sardinia. And in August I will start again with Weet Ik Veel. Yes, I keep doing things at once.”

Back to the viewing figures: the winners at half past eight were Dwars door de Lage Landen with 1.1 million viewers (24%) on NPO 2, Opsporing Verzocht with 766 thousand viewers (16%) on NPO 1 , For the same money with 703 thousand viewers (15%) on RTL 4 and 10 Voor Taal with 416 thousand viewers (9%) on SBS 6.
The most viewed titles at half past nine were The Most Beautiful Girl of the Class with 947 thousand viewers (20%) on NPO 1, Today Inside with 910 thousand viewers (20%) on SBS 6, Beau with 538 thousand viewers (15%) on RTL 4 and Nieuwsuur with 506 thousand viewers (11%) on NPO 2.

Programs that also did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (543 thousand), Lang Leve De Liefde (486 thousand), Time for MAX (449 thousand) and HLF8 (370 thousand).
