Beau van Erven Dorens made a big blunder last night during an interview with Peter Pannekoek in his talk show on RTL 4. The comedian: “Well, my father is no longer alive.”
Peter Pannekoek sat at Beau van Erven Dorens’ talk show table last night to promote one or the other performance. It was a fairly uninteresting conversation, in which the comedian was allowed to talk about his upbringing, among other things. His parents were also mentioned.
‘is no longer alive’
Host Beau inadvertently asks an awkward question. “Of course you are a product of your parents. Do you sometimes look at your father and mother and think: oh yes, I will be too, I will get something from one and something from the other?”
However, Peter’s father is no longer alive. “Well, my father is no longer alive, so I can go see his skeleton and see how I still look like it.”
Beau is shocked: “Mmmm.”
‘Relax, Beau’
Peter then reassures Beau. “Relax, Beau. It’s totally okay. Sorry, I’m really teasing you tonight, I don’t know why.”
Beau: “No, but that’s just stupid. I should have known that, sorry.”
Peter: “No, of course not. I always find it an interesting question to what extent something is innate and to what extent something is learned. That’s what it’s about.”
blunder
At the end of the conversation, Beau returns to his blunder one more time. “Well, Peter Pannekoek, sorry about my comment.”
Peter: “No dude, act normal.”
Beau: “A blunder, apologies.”
