It was initially the intention of RTL 4 to program a daily late-night talk show throughout the year, but that ambition is slowly being scaled back. Last year, the channel decided not to broadcast a late talk show in August and it was recently decided to discontinue Saturday broadcasts.

Vacation need
RTL 4’s late talk shows are produced by another company: PilotStudio. The reason there was no late talk show in August last year was not because the presenters wanted to go on holiday at the same time, but because there was a need for a holiday among the support staff. That may also be the case this year.
Last year Rob Goossens strongly criticized the fact that the late talk show was replaced by reruns. “If you have four presenters, it is actually, I would say, an embarrassment that you cannot be seen all year. As far as that is concerned, they will have to come up with something, as far as I am concerned, to solve that.”
It is not yet known who will present the daily humor show, but it is certainly not producer Martijn Krabbé himself.
