Beach House have announced their EP BECOME for April 22nd. The five-song record will be released exclusively for Record Store Day. Compared to the past three years, this takes place on the third weekend in April and is celebrated annually by independent record shops worldwide. Also in Germany participate some stores. The Beach House EP will be released digitally on April 28th.

“The BECOME EP is a collection of five songs from the ONCE TWICE MELODY sessions,” Beach House said in a press release. “We didn’t think they fitted into the OTM world, but later realized that they all fit together in their own world. To us, they’re all kind of dirty and expansive (…) It’s not necessarily the direction we’re headed in right now, but definitely one we’ve been in before. We hope you enjoy them,” they added.

The EP was produced by the band themselves and follows on from last year’s double LP. ONCE TWICE MELODY was released in four stages between November 10, 2021 and February 18, 2022. Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally formed the dream pop project in Baltimore in 2004 and have since released eight studio albums together, setting them somewhere on the spectrum between indie and shoegaze were able to celebrate great success.
