BEACH VOLLEYBALL – Beach volleyball players Katja Stam from Klijndijk and Raïsa Schoon will play the final of the challenge tournament of the Mexican Tlaxcala tonight.
The Dutch couple, placed fifth, was too strong for the Brazilian women Elize Maia and Thamela Coradello in the semifinals in two sets (21-14 21-15).
Another Brazilian couple awaits in the final: Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado. The former, 35 years now, still took silver at the Rio 2016 Games. Schoon (20) and Stam (23) were the youngest duo at the Tokyo Games. Shortly afterwards, they finished second at the European Championships. The final is at 9.30 pm Dutch time.
