BC Oostende takes 11th Belgian title in a row

Both teams were very evenly matched. After the first quarter, Mechelen slightly had the upper hand (27-25), but at halftime, Ostend turned the tables around (43-44), with little surplus.

After the third quarter, the Kangaroos narrowly took the lead again (64-63). After a strong final quarter (19-28), Ostend still secured the victory. Phillip Booth III excelled in the winning camp with 26 points.

Ostend easily won the first final match in its own room with 103-60, but Mechelen immediately equalized after an 84-74 home win. The coastal team took the lead again, thanks to an 86-69 win on Wednesday in the third final game. But in the fourth game, Ostend achieved the decisive third victory in the ‘best of 5’.

Ostend takes its eleventh consecutive title, the 23rd in club history.
