With clear away wins, the Baskets Bonn and Bayern Munich have consolidated their place in the top group of the basketball league.

Shorts wears Bonner Spiel

The previously sovereign Bonners lived up to their role as favorites from the start in the away game in Hamburg. At halftime the guests were already 15 points ahead and added another 16 points in a very strong third quarter.

Above all, Bonn’s point guard TJ Shorts II, who converted four of his five attempts from the three-point line, never got the hosts under control. In the end, the American was the best thrower of the game with 24 points.

Giffey with a lot of playing time at Bayern

FC Bayern’s performance at MBC was no less impressive. After a tight first round, Munich won the second quarter 27:9. The preliminary decision was already made at half-time.

In the following quarters, Bayern then wrapped up their sixth win of the season in gentle gear. Best Munich pitcher was Augustin Rubit with 23 points. New signing Niels Giffey got the most playing time with 33 minutes and contributed 15 points and six rebounds to the favorite’s away win.

Important victory for Bamberg

Bamberg celebrated an important victory in the table basement. The Franconians won 100:83 in their own hall against the taillight Frankfurt Skyliners. With a run at the beginning of the second quarter, Bamberg, who in the end had their best thrower in Christian Sengfelder with 21 points, already had a decisive lead of 57:36 by half-time. With the second win of the season, Bamberg leaves the relegation zone for the time being.
