Defending champion Ulm prevailed against Alba Berlin in the top game of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and sent an exclamation mark to the competition.
The surprise champions won on Saturday (October 7th, 2023) after a strong final quarter with 100:88 (49:52) against the Albatrosses and continued their perfect start to the season with their third win in a row.
Ulm with a strong final quarter
Karim Jallow impressed with 18 points for Ulm, which took over the lead from Alba with six points. For the Berliners, world champion Johannes Thiemann, in particular, resisted the impending defeat with 19 points, but even he could not prevent the decisive 20:32 in the fourth round.
