After the BBL game between the Niners Chemnitz and BG Göttingen there is said to have been a racism incident

The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) is investigating a possible racism incident in the game between Niners Chemnitz and BG Göttingen.

As part of the game on Wednesday, “suspected racist statements were made towards a player from Göttingen”, which is why an investigation was initiated, the BBL tweeted. “At this point we would like to once again speak out clearly against racist and discriminatory statements and actions of any kind and condemn them in the strongest possible terms.”

After the game in Chemnitz, which the Lower Saxony team won 87:86, the Göttingen professional was verbally abused by a spectator when he left the hall.

In a video, the word “dirty pig” is to be understood, the words before it are to be determined with technical aids.
