Weak start

In addition to long-term absentee Marcus Eriksson, Alba also lacked playmaker Tamir Blatt (thumb capsule injury) and center Christ Koumadje (knee problems). At the beginning, the Berliners underwent numerous ball losses against intensively defending Chemnitz. So they quickly and clearly fell behind with 9:21. However, an 8:0 run to 20:23 at the end of the first quarter brought Alba into play. The Berliners now found their rhythm more and more. At the break they led 47:42.

In the third period of the game, the Berliners then extended their lead to 16 points before the game became more divided. Chemnitz tried to disrupt the rhythm of the Berliners with an aggressive defensive approach. Offensively, however, they found no access themselves. Alba continued to defend well.

Mammoth program continues against Villeurbanne

The game was interrupted by many foul whistles and was now not very attractive. Alba struggled to score in the final quarter and Chemnitz were able to reduce to four points with 20 seconds remaining. However, the Berliners brought the lead over time.

For Alba, the phase with six games in 13 days continues on Thursday in their own hall with the last Euroleague game of the season against Asvel Villeurbanne.
