Deep discussions have already taken place in the Big Brother house over the past few days. Sophia and Ruzbeh i.e. Rusu talk for a long time in the kitchen on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sofia has previously talked about her cosmetic surgeries. Rusu unexpectedly asks Sofia how much money has been spent on cosmetic surgery. Sofia says the amount is 15,000 euros. He has also received help with the costs from his parents.

– Yes, I know that I am very privileged. Everyone’s parents don’t understand how big a deal it is, says Sofia, referring to the importance of surgeries for transgender people.

He tells how some families even reject a trans child. Rusu emphasizes that everyone must be allowed to change their appearance to match their gender identity.

– If you live in someone else’s role, it leads to depression and all that shit, says Rusu.

Sofia also reveals that she was depressed before she started her transition. She adds that not all of her problems stemmed from being transgender.

– Yes, I have also suffered because of it with myself, says Sofia.

Sofia is surprised that some people imagine that she is deliberately trying to be different, and that she herself has chosen to be trans. He emphasizes that he would not wish his fate on anyone.

– I love being me, I love myself, I love being trans, Sofia still says and states that being transgender has taught her a lot about the world and other people.

Sofia says that she has always been the way she is now.

– I’ve never had a beard, or I’ve never been such a badass, says Sofia.

For sure

The two also talk about the gender reassignment process in Finland.

Sofia says that some people are in favor of full self-determination, which means that everyone who wishes should be able to access hormone therapy easily. In his opinion, the downside is that some people might change their gender on the spur of the moment and regret it later.

– The other extreme is that I too waited two years to get my hormones, says Sofia.

He says that in that time, however, he had time to become even more sure of his decision to start the process. Rusu asks if gender reassignment can be canceled afterwards. According to Sofia, it is rarely possible to correct changes caused by hormones and especially surgeries. In Rusu’s opinion, hormone therapy should be available at the age of 14.

– However, because it’s such a radical timing that you’ll already be crazy thinking about such things, Rusu justifies his opinion.

– If I hadn’t gone through “male” puberty, my life would be so much easier now, Sofia says.

Sofia knows that fussing won’t help. Instead, he hopes that a hundred years from now, this issue will be much easier in society.
