Baywatch-known from the television series Mike Newman tells People– magazine interview about his Parkinson’s diagnosis 16 years ago.
In 2006, Newman Sarah-the wife noticed her husband moving strangely. Active in sports at his age, Newman also noticed himself that his swimming and running speed had slowed down.
At the urging of relatives, Newman, who was 50 at the time, went to see a doctor. The doctor prescribed medicine for Newman, which relieved the physical symptoms.
Newman rejoiced, but the doctor gave an arresting diagnosis: Parkinson’s disease.
– Everything changes. All the things that he imagined doing with his children and grandchildren, all the plans ceased to exist, Newman, 66, recalls in a recent interview with People magazine.
Before the diagnosis, the couple had planned to spend their retirement days in Hawaii. Instead, the couple has now settled in Los Angeles.
Newman describes the symptoms of the disease as progressing almost imperceptibly slowly.
– Parkinson’s disease does not wait. It keeps rolling over, Newman describes.

Newman will also talk about his Parkinson’s disease in the future Baywatch: The Documentary in the document. At first, the actor and lifeguard was hesitant to share his diagnosis with the world.
Now, however, he hopes his story will help others in the same situation.
Newman played a caricature character based on himself in the 1990 hit series. Newman was the only real lifesaver among the actors and was able to perform spectacular stunts.
However, it took seven years before Newman got his name in the opening credits of the series and was brought up alongside the other stars of the series.
Baywatch a total of 11 production seasons were made between 1989 and 2001. Other famous actors of the series were, among others Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and David Hasselhoff.
