Bayern players Kimmich and Müller test positive for coronavirus
Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller of Bayern Munich have tested positive for the corona virus. The two players are therefore very likely to miss Tuesday’s Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen and possibly also the Bundesliga top match against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday.
“The two players have no symptoms, are feeling well and are currently in isolation at home,” the club said. Kimmich and Müller showed a positive corona test on Saturday. They both came into action the night before in the 4-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka of Bayern were previously infected with corona. They returned to the squad for the game against Leverkusen.
