Bayern Munich | LIVE ticker: The PK with Julian Nagelsmann before the Bundesliga game against Greuther Fürth

After the sobering 1-1 draw at RB Salzburg in the Champions League, FC Bayern is back in the Bundesliga at the weekend. On Sunday afternoon (3:30 p.m.) the record champions welcome bottom Greuther Fürth. In the run-up to the game, coach Julian Nagelsmann answers journalists’ questions.

sport.de accompanies today’s press conference Friday from 1:30 p.m in the detailed live blog.

+++ Are Nagelsmann busy with the lack of victories? +++

“Basically, we have the right to keep working and analyzing, even if we win. We’re not in the flow we were in the first half of the season. But it doesn’t make a huge difference in preparation.”

+++ Nagelsmann about the staff +++

“Jamal has an examination today, his free test was positive for us, the test negative. The examination should ensure that he does not fare like Alphonso Davies. We have to be a little careful with the heart issue and see what comes out. At Leon Goretzka and Davies, there is no new standing yet. Serge Gnabry is a bit injured, he reacted muscularly. Kingsley Coman took a hit on the calf. He is a bit questionable for Sunday. As of yesterday, things weren’t looking too good, but we still hope.”

The defensive weaknesses are piling up, Nagelsmann recently spoke of a “communication issue” that was the trigger for a number of problems. Does that also take revenge on the basement child Fürth?

+++ Is Fürth making life (again) difficult for Bayern? +++

The Franconian climber does not give away the league. In this calendar year, the cloverleaf lost only one of five games, the gap to the saving bank is still nine points.

FC Bayern also noticed in the first leg that Fürth is not easy to play on. The Munich team struggled for a long time, partly due to the fact that defender Benjamin Pavard saw the red card shortly after the break. In the end, Munich still won 3-1.
