Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga Championship 2021–22 by knocking down arch-enemy Borussia Dortmund 3–1 at home.

The Der Klassiker played at Allianz Arena was completely under the control of the hosts. Serge Gnabry started the scoring at quarter with a beautiful full hit.

Gnabry was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. He killed it with his first touch and continued the same movement, firing into the front corner of the magnificent half-valley.

Gnabry thought he had already moved Bayern to a 2-0 lead at half an hour, but the VAR council noticed a precedent. Instead Robert Lewandowskin no problem was found with the hit, and the hosts were allowed to digest their sturdy break cord in the locker room.

In the second period Emre Can narrowed the match at a glance, but the Yellow Blacks could not properly threaten Bayern’s victory at any point.

83 minutes into the match Jamal Musiala finished the 3-1 goal, and the home crowd was able to start the championship.

The two-point difference at the top of the Bundesliga now stretched to 12 points, meaning Dortmund could no longer even reach the Bavarians mathematically.

The championship is up to the tenth consecutive one for Bayern Munich. At the same time, it set a record for the length of the championship top European leagues. It shared a previous record (nine in a row) with Juventus (2012–2020).
