FC Bayern started the new season with a clear 4-0 win at Werder Bremen. Bundesliga record transfer Harry Kane knew how to convince with two goals. President Herbert Hainer also raved about the new superstar after the game.
The focus of the opening game was of course Harry Kane’s Bundesliga debut, who impressed with a goal and an assist.
“I’m very happy that Harry Kane scored a goal in his first Bundesliga game. He told me before the game that he was a bit nervous, which is only human,” said Bayern President Herbert Hainer the game opposite “tz”.

Unlike Kane, Manuel Neuer was not yet part of the game against Werder Bremen. A comeback from the captain, who has now been out injured for almost nine months, is expected in the coming weeks. Until then, Sven Ulreich will guard Munich’s goal.
“He’s always there when Bayern need him. We can’t give him enough praise and respect. It’s not the first time he’s had to step in – and he’s always shown that you can rely on him.” praised Hainer, who nonetheless hopes that the first-choice goalkeeper will make a comeback soon.
“Every footballer wants to be back on the pitch as soon as possible – and Manuel really wants to be back in goal at FC Bayern. He gets all the support he needs. The goal is clear: Manuel should come back as strong as he used to be he’s still one of the best,” the club president continued.
