Bayern Munich | “Football god” Schweinsteiger announces new baby message

World soccer champion Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife Ana Ivanovic are becoming parents for the third time. The two sports stars sent this good news on Friday afternoon. The FC Bayern club legend and the former number one in the tennis world posted a corresponding photo on social media.

Schweinsteiger, who became world champion with the German national soccer team in Brazil in 2014, shared a picture via Instagram with his Serbian wife, where the message is unmistakable.

“We’ll soon be outnumbered,” the couple commented on the joint photo.

Offspring number three will follow his older siblings Luka and Leon, who were born in March 2018 and August 2019 respectively.

Ana Ivanovic, who won the French Open 15 years ago, has repeatedly emphasized in the past that she wants to have “at least three children” with Bastian Schweinsteiger.

FC Bayern and the DFB team already congratulated

Born in Belgrade, the FC Bayern club’s veteran married in the summer of 2016 in Venice, Italy.

Many prominent personalities from the world of sport have already reacted to the news of the forthcoming addition to the Schweinsteiger/Ivanovic family.

For example, US ski legend Lindsey Vonn was one of the first to congratulate. The German national football team and FC Bayern have already sent their congratulations via their official Instagram channels, as has the tennis organization WTA.

During his active career, Bastian Schweinsteiger played 342 Bundesliga games for FC Bayern between 2002 and 2015, scoring 45 goals. He would be German champion eight times with Munich, and in 2013 he was part of the legendary team that won the first triple in the club’s history.
