FC Bayern has prepared for various scenarios for the celebrations after the end of the season at the weekend. Depending on whether Munich should still become champions or not, there will be either extensive celebrations or only on a small scale.
There is still a chance of winning the title: although everything currently indicates that BVB will be able to lift the championship trophy for the first time in eleven years at the end of the season, FC Bayern could put the pressure on the leaders of the table with a win in Cologne hold up from Dortmund. Then Borussia would have to win against Mainz 05 at home. If that fails, the bowl will ultimately go to Munich.
For this case, those responsible at FC Bayern have already hatched detailed celebration plans. As “Bild” found out, all the players and those responsible would then meet for a huge party in the “Motorworld” in Munich’s Freimann district from 9:00 p.m. after returning from Cologne.
In dirndl and readers’ trousers and with lots of beer, there should be no holding back, after all, in this case the first untitled season since 2012 was averted.
After that, a long sleep is announced. A day later, on Sunday (May 28, 2023), the celebrations would only continue in the early evening.
Balcony is reserved for FC Bayern
At 5:30 p.m., the Mayor of Munich, Dieter Reiter, invited everyone to the town hall. After the entry in the Golden Book, the obligatory visit to the town hall balcony and meeting the fans on Marienplatz would be considered.
In any case, Thomas Müller continues to believe in his team. “We have to stand together and bring in every spark we still have so that we can get three points in Cologne. Then we might become champions,” said the veteran, adding: “I’ve experienced a few championships, even when Bayern still wasn’t the favorite for the title. That’s why I know: there’s still more to come.”
All of this is – as of now – rather unrealistic. At the moment everything indicates that FC Bayern will “only” become runners-up.
Then it would also go to the “Motorworld” event location on Saturday evening, but without lederhosen and only with the “casual” dress code, as “Bild” further reports. The party should also be shorter, less euphoric and much more secret. Instagram documentaries and similar things are then not to be expected.
