Today on Transfermarkt TV: For weeks there has been speculation about new additions to the right-back position at FC Bayern. The most recent hottest candidate was Kieran Trippier. After an offer from Munich of 15 million euros was rejected by Newcastle, those responsible for the record champions have decided to withdraw from the negotiations.
Bayern is distancing itself from Trippier – no right-back in winter?
According to reports, an agreement was previously reached with the England international. Sports director Christoph Freund emphasized that they would only do something on the transfer market that they were 100 percent convinced of. In addition to the 33-year-old, Nordi Mukiele (PSG) and Sacha Boey were also candidates.
However, like Trippier, the former Leipzig player is said to be too expensive. The same applies to Galatasaray professional Boey, who reportedly costs at least €25 million. Internally, the plan is maturing not to sign a new right-back and to keep the money saved for the summer. In your opinion, is this the right decision?
