Bayern in 12 for 17 seconds, dismissed the appeal of Freiburg

The DBF did not accept the request for a table victory after the mistake in Saturday’s match won by the Bavarians 4-1

The DFB has rejected the appeal of Freiburg, who will not be able to count on a victory at the table to get closer to the coveted Champions League zone. After the 4-1 defeat in last Saturday’s match against Bayern, in fact, the German club had appealed to the football association, disputing the fact that the Bavarian team had accidentally played 17 seconds of play with 12 men on the pitch.

Bayern’s comment

“I doubt that, at that juncture, they could have scored two goals and overturned the game,” said Nagelsmann. I understand that our opponents are still -3 from fourth place, but if I were them I would not be happy to play in Europe thanks to three points that, in reality, I have not won on the pitch ”.

The official decision

Finally, the German football federation closed the matter, which rejected Freiburg’s appeal. The responsibility for the incident was in fact attributed mainly to the referee of the match, as explained by Stephan Oberholz, member of the sports justice of the DFB: “As regards the misunderstanding, we consider Bayern Munich guilty only minimally. This is not enough to overturn the sporting verdict ”. Freiburg have tried, but have no intention of insisting on asserting their reasons: the club officials have in fact declared that they accept the decision of the judges.
