Bayern-Barça agreement for Lewandowski

The Barça wanted to Lewandowski. Lewandowski he wanted to leave Munich to go to Barcelona. Only two elements were missing for the equation: that Bayern let him go and that the Barça club found a salary margin to sign him up. The first point has been unlocked, since the Bavarian team has accepted his transfer.

The Polish striker, who in August will be 34 years oldalready in April communicated his decision to the Bavarian CEO, Oliver Khan. The winner of ‘The Best’ had his contract out next year, so the German champion was at the crossroads of selling his franchise player in June or letting him get away for free. The scorer has rowed in favor, making it clear not only that he was going to leave Munich after eight seasons, but also that his only destination would be the Camp Nou, thus avoiding an auction that would have triggered the price even more. Finally, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barça will pay 45 million plus 5 in variables and will sign a three-year contract, plus an optional fourth.

The scorer will become the fourth Barça signing, after Kessié, Christensen and Raphinha, as well as Paul Tower (which in principle will have a subsidiary file) and the re-signing of Dembélé. Xavi hopes to be able to have him under his command on the US tour, so that he can play the first classic against Madrid on July 24.

Solved the first hurdle, now Barça will have to find a fit in the ‘sudoku’ of ‘fair play’. The club made it known on Thursday that the departure of Frenkie De Jong is key to being able to register Kessie, Sergi Roberto and Christensen. His departure would release 42 million wages. In order to register Raphinha and the ‘resigned’ Dembélé, Barça calculated that it would need, in addition to activating the second economic lever, release an additional 25 and 30 million euros in the form of chip cuts or more departures.

To that should now be added the tab of Lewandowski and that of the defenders that Xavi wants to incorporate: Koundé, Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. In addition to the departures of the discarded Net, Mingueza, Umtiti, Riqui Puig and Braithwaitewho have not traveled to the US, the Barça technical secretariat could make cash and salary gap with memphis depaywhom he could send to Seville in the ‘Koundé operation’.
