The attacker tore a muscle fiber in his right calf while warming up before the 2-0 defeat in the Champions League game at FC Porto. This was announced by the Bundesliga soccer club.
The 27-year-old is expected to be out for six to eight weeks. The Iran international has played in all eight of Leverkusen’s Bundesliga games of the season so far.
