Does Demirbay go in the summer?
Nadiem Amiri continues to be one of the team’s big winners around seven months after Xabi Alonso was appointed as Bayer 04 Leverkusen coach. The 26-year-old midfielder doesn’t always play from the start, but he always gets playing time, convinces and scores – like most recently in the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig. Amiri’s leap in performance could soon be rewarded with a new contract.

The “kicker” speculates that it is completely different with Kerem Demirbay. The 29-year-old midfielder also gets regular playing time, but his 90 minutes on the bench in the 0-0 draw against Union Berlin are a sign of Xabi Alonso’s direction.
