Before duel against BVB
Bayer Leverkusen will have to do without captain and first-choice goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky in the west duel of the Bundesliga this Sunday (3:30 p.m. / DAZN / in the TM live ticker) at Borussia Dortmund. The Finn tested positive for Corona. The club confirmed this on Sunday.
According to the club, the 32-year-old’s positive test was taken before the last weekend in January. Since then, Hradecky has been in isolation at home without symptoms. “The hopes of being able to test him free in time for the game at BVB with a negative PCR test and to be able to call him up to the squad were dashed on Sunday morning,” said Bayer.
Since regular deputy Andrey Lunev (30) is also out with a torn syndesmosis, Lennart Grill (23), who has just returned from a loan at SK Brann, should be in goal, having played 15 games for the Norwegians in the past six months. Niklas Lomb (28) should sit on the bench as a representative.
