Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller and Bayer Leverkusen defensive player Odilon Kossounou will travel to the Africa Cup.
As the Ivorian football association FIF announced on Thursday, the two Bundesliga players are in the Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire) squad. The tournament will take place in your own country from January 13th to February 11th, 2024.
Former Frankfurt player Evan Ndicka was also nominated by coach Jean-Louis Gasset. Union Berlin’s David Datro Fofana, however, was not appointed.
The Ivorians have won the Africa Cup of Nations twice (1992 and 2015). The last 2022 edition ended in the round of 16 against Egypt.
